The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum has a strong and vital volunteer program. The volunteers, through their enthusiasm, effort and involvement, are able to enhance all areas of the museum operation. Many varied and interesting opportunities are available for museum volunteers.

- Museum Store/Admissions
Greet museum visitors and process admissions. Hand out brochures, direct visitors to areas around the museum, notify them of any special exhibits and answer general questions. Use the cash register and credit card machine for admissions and gift shop purchases.
- Tour Guide
Give guided tours around the museum, explaining the career of Glenn H. Curtiss and outlining his accomplishments. Tell visitors about special exhibits and other permanent exhibits of local history.
- Restoration Shop
Skilled and unskilled volunteer labor is always needed for the many restoration projects that go on during the year. The restoration shop volunteers work on aircraft restoration and reconstruction and also on any special projects that come up relating to exhibits and collections.
General Office duties, such as preparing bulk mailings, etc.
- Special Events
Working with other Special Events Committee members to prepare for special museum functions, annual social events and other catering and decorating opportunities that occur during the year.
- Building Maintenance
Housekeeping, painting, care of exhibits, etc.
- Grounds Maintenance
Mowing, weeding, trimming, raking, etc. and other special projects as required.
