Albany Flyer Crash

Pilot Jim Poel was seriously injured when the museum's reproduction Albany Flyer crashed in a cornfield just off the Penn Yan Airport on Friday, June 18. Jim had three successful flights with the plane earlier in the day. The cause of the crash remains undetermined as Jim recovers from his injuries at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
